I have been teaching in China for the last 15 years in various schools offering Australian, Canadian, and IB curricula. I taught Math courses as well as Physics, General Science, and Chemistry to mostly high school students.
Aside from teaching, I love to be involved in school activities which involve nurturing students' skills and behaviors to become better global citizens. I got certified as National Geographic Educator in 2020. I have tutored Grade 10 students to compete for University of Waterloo 2015 Galois competition and they topped 4 beating other international schools in China and other countries. I encourage my students to join Math competitions as well as Science competitions.
I always want my students to love Math and tell them that Math is FUN. A LOT OF students build math anxiety growing up. BUT WITH MY CLASS, THEY WILL SEE THAT it is not a subject to be feared. I want my students to see the value of Math in different aspects which makes it valuable and beautiful. Practising and applying Math makes your life exciting and challenging at the same time while learning it. What are you waiting for?
