I have been teaching in China for the last 15 years in various schools offering Australian, Canadian, and IB curricula. I taught Math courses as well as Physics, General Science, and Chemistry to mostly high school students.

Aside from teaching, I love to be involved in school activities which involve nurturing students' skills and behaviors to become better global citizens. I got certified as National Geographic Educator in 2020. I have tutored Grade 10 students to compete for University of Waterloo 2015 Galois competition and they topped 4 beating other international schools in China and other countries. I encourage my students to join Math competitions as well as Science competitions.

I always want my students to love Math and tell them that Math is FUN. A LOT OF students build math anxiety growing up. BUT WITH MY CLASS, THEY WILL SEE THAT it is not a subject to be feared. I want my students to see the value of Math in different aspects which makes it valuable and beautiful. Hi, I’m Ruby sensei, a Japanese teacher, passionate about teaching Japanese for children. I am living in Tokyo. I have teached Japanese 8 years from beginner to master level. In this time, I have 3 years experiences of teaching tween and 2 years of experience in teaching Japanese for children (5 to 16 years old). In elementary level, I also design activities or game for my class. In upper elementary class, I often teach Japanese through other subject (for example: Social studies, Science...)

I have a master's degree in Japanese language education in Musashino University and now I'm PhD student in Tokyo Metropolitan University. My research is about Japanese language education with the purpose of global citizenship education.

Confidence and fluency is my aim. Grammar and accuracy can come later but as I have found out learning Mandarin at my advanced age learning vocabulary and grammar from books does not instill confidence in speaking. When my students are speaking I don't correct every mistake every time but I do encourage them to try to express themselves even if they make many mistakes. Their mistakes will be corrected before they become entrenched but all my students are encouraged to "have a go".

My goal in life is to increase and inspire holistic wellness. I feel as though that starts with the authority figures and educators in your formative years. I started learning tap ballet tumbling and jazz at the young age of three at a community college and I was hooked immediately so I started taking anywhere from 5 to 20 hours of classes at my local studio every week. The dance community has gotten me this far in life and has been my most consistent form of finances. I am very grateful for the art industry and want to pass down that energy and influence to the next generation so they can supersede my talents and hopefully improve and capitalize on whatever they learn from me.

I am a qualified British teacher living in the U.K. I have taught the 3-11 year old children for over for over 15 years. At present I teach part-time at a local school Here I teach 4-8 year olds Math Mastery and phonics.
My other passion is to teach children about the natural world through drawing and craft.
I am a qualified outdoor educator (Forest School Level 3), and cannot wait to bring the outside into your home. By teaching about the natural world I hope to encourage your child to go out, explore and become passionate about the natural world. Through drawing, natural crafts and stories I would hope to build a connection between your child and the natural world, that will light a spark of love for the outdoors, and will last them a lifetime.
I also love to pass on knowledge about my culture, I am originally from Wales, have lived in Scotland and now live in England... so there will be lots to learn in my lessons about these three countries of the United Kingdom.
